At Tabinoito, we prioritize our customers' safety by establishing clear criteria for tour operations and flexible response measures. We will explain the guidelines to ensure you can book with confidence.
1. Criteria for determining tour operations
In principle, we will hold the event if "safety can be ensured even in rain or snow". In winter in Urabandai, it is not uncommon for beautiful scenery to unfold the moment the blizzard stops. However, in cases such as the following, we may suggest cancellation or changes for safety reasons.
- If a "storm warning" or "heavy snow warning" has been issued for the relevant area by the Japan Meteorological Agency
- If the guide determines that the field conditions (fallen branches, sudden temperature drops, poor visibility, etc.) are dangerous
- If public transportation is suspended or major roads are closed
2. Timing and judgment for cancellation notice
The judgment will generally be made by "7 PM the day before", and we will contact you directly via LINE or phone. However, since mountain weather can change rapidly, there may be a final judgment on the morning of the event. In such cases, we will also communicate promptly to avoid wasting your valuable time.
3. Proposal for "Plan B" due to weather
"Since I've come all the way to Urabandai, I want to create some memories"
Because it is a completely private tour, we can provide optimal "alternatives" on the spot, such as shortening the course according to the weather or switching to a relatively gentle stroll through the beech forest.
