Schedule
Gathering and departure (Koriyama Station)
Gather at the west exit of Koriyama Station and depart at 10:15. From here, the 2-day journey to explore the autumn of Aizu begins.
Exploration of Tsuruga Castle in Aizuwakamatsu and lunch

Visit Tsuruga Castle, the symbol of Aizuwakamatsu City and a symbol of Aizu tourism. Enjoy a hearty meal in the castle town, rich with highlights such as the red-tiled main keep, stone walls, and tea room.
Exploration of the castle town of Aizu, Nanokamachi

Freely explore the retro streets of "Nanokamachi Street," known for its Taisho Roman atmosphere. Take a leisurely walk through the town of warehouses that retains the nostalgic charm of the Showa era.
Kitakata KANPAI Festival

Finally, the main event of the day, the Kitakata KANPAI Festival. Over 30 types of local sake from the Kitakata region will be available for unlimited tasting. In addition to many premium sake such as Junmai Daiginjo and Junmai Ginjo, sake from all breweries in Fukushima will also be gathered in one place. There will be a tasting of local sake from Kitakata's sister cities (Shiogama City in Miyagi Prefecture and Nanyo City in Yamagata Prefecture), sales of local specialties, and gourmet booths from food trucks and shops. Those who cannot drink alcohol and families with children can also enjoy the event together. Participants will receive a sake cup made of traditional Kitakata lacquerware as a gift. Enjoy KANPAI to your heart's content until 7 PM.
Shiohime no Yado Kanzan Accommodation
Today's accommodation is "Shiohime no Yado Kanzan." It boasts a majestic atmosphere with a large rock placed in the bathtub, featuring a spacious open-air bath by the river. Please take your time to conclude the day while soaking in the afterglow of the festival.

On the second day, after breakfast, we will depart from the accommodation at 9:40 AM. We are heading to tour the sake breweries of Aizu.
Yamatogawa Brewery Tour and Tasting

We visit a long-established brewery founded in the second year of the Kansei era (1790). This brewery has won a gold award in the "Affordable Warm Sake Category" at the "National Warm Sake Contest 2026" for its Junmai Karakuchi Yaemon. Enjoy a leisurely tasting while learning about the history of the brewery.
Michi no Eki Kitano Sato Lunch and Souvenirs
It's time for lunch and souvenir shopping at the Kitakata roadside station "Kitano Sato." Seasonal agricultural products and unique items from Kitakata are lined up.
Obara Brewery Tour and Tasting

We head to Obara Brewery, which brews Junmai sake while listening to Mozart. Known for its sake that embodies the climate of Kitakata and classical music, it still uses a traditional tatami room brewery from the early Meiji era. You are sure to encounter a unique bottle.
Refresh at Lake Inawashiro

We visit Lake Inawashiro, the fourth largest lake in Japan. Let's head home while being blown by the refreshing breeze across the lake, shaking off any intoxication.
Arrival and Disbanding (Koriyama Station)
Arrived at Koriyama Station, disbanding. After enjoying the local sake and gourmet food of Aizu during this 2-day, 1-night trip, we part ways here.
