The residence of His Imperial Highness Prince Arisugawa Takehito. It was built on a hill overlooking Lake Inawashiro, praised for its scenic beauty during a tour around the lake. Construction began in April 1908 (Meiji 41) with the thawing of snow, and it was completed in August of the same year.
You can still admire its elegant appearance along with a tour of the interior.
