Shibuki Ice
This phenomenon occurs when the lake's water is blown up by strong winds and freezes upon contact with the trees along the shore, and it is said that places where this can be seen on a large scale are rare in Japan, with Lake Inawashiro being one of the few (along with parts of Lake Biwa).
The ice sculptures created by nature are all unique, and they are affectionately referred to as 'ice art' or 'ice monsters.'
