'Hani-tsu Shrine', located on the northern side of Lake Inawashiro, is an ancient shrine established in 1675 (Enpo 3) that enshrines the successive lords of the Aizu domain. Overcoming the tragedy of being burned down during the Boshin War, the shrine was magnificently rebuilt in 1880 (Meiji 13) and still exudes a quiet and solemn atmosphere.
