The 'Ishibe Cherry Blossom,' said to be about six hundred years old, is counted among the Five Cherry Blossoms of Aizu. It was named after Ishibe Jibu Daisuke, a high-ranking retainer of the Ashina clan who once ruled this land, as it was located in his garden. The most notable feature of the Ishibe Cherry Blossom is its unique and powerful tree shape.

• Spread of life: From near the ground, it divides into ten trunks, spreading its large branches in all directions, creating a 'flower dome' with a diameter of about twenty meters at full bloom.
• Translucent pale pink: The variety is Edohigan. Its petals bloom slightly earlier and last longer than Somei Yoshino, delicate yet embodying the strength of life that has survived the harsh winter.
