【Timeless Sake Brewery Architecture】 'Daiwakawa Sake Brewery Kitakata Fudokan' that conveys the breath of Edo to the present

Since its establishment in the 2nd year of the Kansei era (1790), the long-established 'Daiwakawa Sake Brewery' has been engaged in sake brewing in the Kitakata area for generations. When they established a new brewery to commemorate their 200th anniversary, they transformed the old storehouse, where sake brewing was once actually conducted, into a museum called 'Kitakata Fudokan' to convey history and tradition.

■ Time Slip Tour of Edo, Taisho, and Showa Warehouses 
The unique highlights here are the multiple warehouses (kura) built in different eras: Edo, Taisho, and Showa, showcasing the 'transition of architectural beauty'.
Upon entering, you are greeted by thick beams with a glossy black finish and a row of massive wooden barrels that have been well-used.
The overwhelming space allows you to feel the passion of the former brewers and even the breath of yeast that has permeated over many years.

■ A blissful moment at the hidden retreat 'Cafe Tenku Kairou' 
After enjoying the historical atmosphere, head to 'Cafe Tenku Kairou', which has been tastefully renovated from a corner of the warehouse.
Indulge in adult sake cakes luxuriously made with the renowned brand 'Yauemon', which has fans around the world, and the refreshing amazake soda, both of which are exquisite.
Of course, sake tasting is also available at the direct sales office. Enjoy the deep flavors where tradition and innovation intersect in the cool air of this historic warehouse.
