【A next-generation standard created by flowing streams】 The essence of refreshing sake challenged by Matsuzaki Sake Brewery
Matsuzaki Sake Brewery, located in the beautiful natural surroundings of Ten'ei Village in the Ou Mountains, has been brewing local sake loved by the community since its establishment in 1892. Following the major trial of the Great East Japan Earthquake, this brewery underwent dramatic evolution. The young toji, Shinya Matsuzaki, aimed to create a cup that captures the pure scenery of Ten'ei in a bottle, full of transparency.
■ The ultimate 'water-like' transparency that quenches the throat
The representative brand 'Hirotogawa' surprised enthusiasts nationwide with its overwhelming 'freshness'.
- Ideal balance: A gentle and elegant aroma that spreads the moment it touches the palate. While firmly conveying the umami of rice, it is never too heavy, gliding down the throat with the crispness of a clear stream.
- A 'gentleness' that complements cuisine: Its flavor, which does not assert too much yet radiates a solid presence, enriches the dining table and enhances conversation, making it the perfect supporting role. This modern masterpiece maximally brings out the goodness of 'water', the foundation of sake brewing.
■ The resonance of Ten'ei's climate and youthful passion
The name 'Hirotogawa' is derived from the ancient name of the Shakadō River that once flowed through the village.
- Brewing the land: Local rice, local water, and the craftsmanship of brewers who know the land inside out. The passion to rise from unforeseen crises and continuously seek 'our own flavor' from scratch is powerfully embedded in every drop.
