Founded in 2018 as an alcohol manufacturing and sales company, it combines the Tenkyou Distillery for whiskey production and the Eikawa Sake Brewery for sake production.
The founder is Shunsuke Koike. During his studies in the UK, he visited a distillery in Scotland and encountered whiskey. Amidst the declining population in Japan due to aging and low birth rates, how to sustain the family business of retail. Also, concerns about the disappearance of his hometown...
Can the whiskey he encountered connect to solving local issues?
In the midst of his dream for a whiskey business with a global perspective... In early spring 2022, he unfortunately passed away at the young age of 28 due to a maritime accident in Shiretoko, Hokkaido.

Connecting the founder's desire to create Scotch whiskey using the underground water of Mount Bandai, the whiskey distillery started operations in 2024.
